Blacksburg Battles Cancer
Blacksburg Battles Cancer is a local non-profit in the New River Valley area on a mission to raise awareness and funding for those affected by cancer. Through popular events including their annual golf tournament, Blacksburg Battles Cancer has successfully raised over $300,000 towards their initiative. With a goal to increase their visibility within the community, the volunteers of Blacksburg Battles Cancer connected with Joba to refresh their logo and website.
Brand Design
Our team understands the law of attraction, so our first step in helping Bluefield State College reach their goals was to develop a powerful brand guide. A brand guide can be described as a detailed handbook into what your brand looks like – this shows the different logo variations, custom colors, fonts and more at a granular level so you know when and where to use them moving forward.
For Bluefield State, we wanted to create a look and feel that attracted the ideal student to apply – while embodying the trust that students look for when choosing their educational home. Our team wanted to develop a logo and school mascot that was seen as fierce, exciting, and fun to root for, especially as Bluefield State looked to increase their sporting options.
Web Design
When refreshing the look and feel of the Blacksburg Battles Cancer website, we wanted to showcase their mission with information on getting involved, while recognizing the success that they have achieved this far. Through the use of brand colors, curated imagery and event photography, we were able to achieve a refreshed design that highlighted their impact within the community and encouraged excitement for existing and incoming volunteers. It was important that the website was user-friendly, with additional pages packed in surrounding the opportunities they have available for sponsors. As a result, the website launched with a fresh and fun design, boosting their existing presence amongst the community.
