Why Not Workshop is an after-school program that utilizes its innovative curricular approach to educate children that have a difficult time learning through traditional teaching methods. The goal of the nonprofit was to create an identity that embodied its innovative approach while gaining interest from children and their parents.

 
 
 
 

Brand Design

When developing the Why Not Workshop brand, we wanted to play into the playful colors of elementary education, while embodying fun and creativity. As a result, we took inspiration from a pencil, the universal symbol for learning and education. To keep this logomark unique, we modified the form to represent the Why Not Workshop’s acronym (WNW), which can be seen within the icon itself.

 
 
 
 

Web Design

Upon completion of the Why Not Workshop brand guide, we then reflected these concepts across all digital platforms. When tasked with the design and development of their website, we wanted to build an online environment that was inviting and playful, while offering value and excitement for both parents and their children. As a non profit organization, creating a space where donors could get involved was an imperative step in the design process. As a result, the final website works as a space for both parents and educators to learn more about the Why Not Workshop mission, while gaining access to resources for community involvement.
